Notifications and Inbox
Inbox is the in-app notification center. It collects requests, mentions, assignments, project updates, date changes, and reminders that need attention.
Notification Types

| Time-off approved | Your request was approved. |
| Time-off not approved | Your request was rejected. |
| Time-off booked | Time off was booked without approval or after approval. |
| Project hours requests | A project allocation change needs review. |

Inbox Actions
From Inbox you can:
- Mark notifications read or unread.
- Archive one notification.
- Archive all read notifications.
- Delete notifications.
- Restore recently deleted notifications where supported.
- Select a notification to preview the detail pane.
- Use the expand button in the detail header to open the related full page when one exists.
- Use inline links inside the detail body for context that has no standalone notification page, such as project-hour requests.
Unread counts update the sidebar badge as you process items.
Keyboard Shortcuts
Inbox supports page-level keyboard shortcuts when focus is not inside a text field:
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
| J | Select the next notification. |
| K | Select the previous notification. |
| U | Toggle read status. |
| Backspace | Delete the selected notification. |
Open the keyboard shortcuts dialog with ? to see the shortcuts available on the current page.
Channels
Supervisible supports three notification channels:
- In-app: Inbox and sidebar unread count.
- Email: Transactional emails for enabled types, with direct links to the related request, project, or assignment when available.
- Slack: Direct messages and channel notifications when Slack is installed and mapped.
Each user controls channels in Notification Preferences.
Slack and Project Channels
Slack can deliver direct messages for personal notifications and mapped project-channel notifications for project updates or date changes. Project-channel notifications are skipped for completed and cancelled projects.
Freelancer Behavior
Freelancer users do not receive time-off notifications in the same way full team members do. The app excludes time-off notification types from freelancer inbox counts.
