Time-Off Views
Team time-off views help members, managers, and operations plan around absences.
My Time Off
My time off is the Time off tab on your member page, beside Workload. It focuses on the current year. Managers can open the same tab for a direct report, and admins can open it for a member, without switching to a separate manager-only surface.
Use My time off to:
- Review your allowance summary.
- Book new time off.
- Set your country so local holidays appear in context.
- Review requests grouped as Awaiting approval, In progress, Awaiting decision, Upcoming, and History.
- Open request and allowance inspector panels from the strip or list.
History is collapsed by default. It contains past requests and rejected requests.
Approvals
Approvals is the approver-only review queue. Admins, owners, and managers with active direct reports can use it to approve or reject time off.
The queue shows pending requests first and can also include reviewed requests. Use it to:
- Search by requester name or email.
- Filter by time-off type.
- Sort by requested date, person, start date, days, or type.
- Group by status or show one flat list.
- Hide reviewed requests when you want to focus only on unresolved work.
- Check the Also out column for overlapping absence during the same window.
- Open the approval inspector before approving or rejecting.
Pending requests that have already started or ended are grouped as Needs resolution. Approving records the time off as taken; rejecting marks it as not taken and requires a note.
Sensitive requests keep the same private treatment after review. If a manager can approve a direct report's request but does not have sensitive-type access, pending and reviewed rows show a neutral private label and hide the original type appearance and reason.
Users without approval access are redirected back to their member Time off tab.
Team Calendar
Team calendar shows a continuous multi-year horizontal view. It is useful for planning longer project windows and spotting overlapping absences across people.
Team calendar starts with the previous, current, and next year and extends as you scroll near the edge of the canvas. Use Today to jump back to the current date.
Use the display panel to change the time grain between year, quarter, month, and week, group by team, capability, client, or time-off type, and toggle weekends, company holidays, local holidays, bar labels, and off-screen date nudges.
Time-off bars, public-holiday markers, and company-holiday markers expose focusable previews with request type, date range, duration, and availability impact. If a row has more requests than fit, open the overflow list and press Esc to close it.
Year View
Year view is a calendar-style annual view. It remains reachable directly for a compact annual picture, but the main navigation now promotes Team calendar instead.
Use Year when you need a compact annual picture, not a detailed request queue.
Use the year controls to move between years or return to today. The display panel can change day labels, weekend shading, maximum lanes per day, overview cards, and the legend.
Allowances
The admin Allowances view summarizes each user's allowed, taken, pending, approved, remaining, and sick-day totals.
Users without allowance access are sent back to their member Time off tab.
Privacy
Sensitive time-off types still affect availability, but details can be hidden from people who should not see them. Non-privileged viewers see neutral private labels in upcoming time off, approval queues, reviewed approval history, and allowance views instead of the real type name, appearance, or reason.
