How Workload Is Calculated

Supervisible calculates workload from assignments and availability. The same rules are used across Home, My Workload, Team Workload, Command Center, and project detail pages.

Availability Resolution

For each person and week, Supervisible resolves availability in this order:

  1. A weekly availability override, including changes created manually, imported in bulk, or created by approved time off.
  2. The active member-specific availability period whose effective date is on or before the week.
  3. The user's default availability.

Manual availability overrides count in the calculation even when they are not tied to a time-off request.

Time Off

Approved time off reduces availability. Full-day requests can take availability to zero for affected working days. Partial-day or part-time requests reduce availability by the configured amount.

Sensitive time-off types can hide details from people who are not allowed to view them.

Utilization

Utilization is assigned hours divided by available hours. If a person has 30 assigned hours and 40 available hours, utilization is 75 percent. If approved time off reduces availability to 24 hours and assignments stay at 30 hours, utilization becomes 125 percent.

Actual Hours

Actual hours do not replace planned assignments. They help compare the plan against what happened and make future staffing estimates more realistic.

Organization Defaults

Workload settings control organization defaults such as average weekly time per project. Member-specific settings and overrides still win when present.
