All the latest updates, improvements, and fixes to Supervisible.

A New Home, Google Calendar Sync, and Smarter Search

Redesigned home page, Google Calendar OOO sync, public holidays, and intelligent command palette search

/dashboard /home

Your home page has been completely redesigned. Managers get a full dashboard with project health, team availability, and pending requests — click on any item to open its details in the new inspector sidebar without leaving the page.

Manager home

Team members see a focused view of their own projects, upcoming time off, and weekly hours — everything you need in one place.

User home

Time Off

Two big additions to time-off management:

  • Google Calendar sync — approved time-off requests now automatically create out-of-office events in Google Calendar, so your calendar always reflects your availability

Google Calendar sync

Configure it here
  • Public holidays — set your country (or multiple countries for distributed teams) and see public holidays overlaid on the time-off calendar. Slack reminders notify your team before upcoming holidays

Public holidays

Search

The command palette (CMD+K) should feel much faster and smoother. It now uses intelligent hybrid search that combines local results with server-side lookups. Start typing to instantly find projects, clients, team members, and more — results are faster and more relevant, even across large organizations.

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Project health updates for all members — any team member assigned to a project can now post health updates, not just project leads
  • Slack contextual panels — when a Supervisible link is shared in Slack, a rich preview panel shows project details, status, and key metrics
  • What's New bubble — a changelog indicator in the sidebar shows when new updates are available
  • Unified settings views — all settings tables have been migrated to a consistent list view
  • Redesigned login page — a new split-screen layout with social proof
  • Smart redirects — if you're already logged in and visit the marketing site, you're redirected straight to the app
  • Workload drag-and-fill fix — resolved a column mismatch issue when using drag-and-fill, and financial data now updates live as you adjust hours
  • Workload avatars — team members without a profile photo now show a proper placeholder instead of a broken image
  • Extend project modal — fixed several bugs in the project extension dialog
  • Avatar fallback — user avatars now fall back to showing the email address when no name is set
  • Inspector toggle — restored the inspector toggle button on resource detail pages
  • Mention rendering — @mentions now display correctly in read-only update views
  • Time-off layout — the Reason column in the Pulse view no longer causes layout shifts with long text
  • Security — added SSRF protection to URL fetching and aligned row-level security policies with the new RBAC system

Project Updates, Roles & Permissions, and More

Project updates with Slack notifications, overhauled roles & permissions, public API, and display IDs

Project Updates, Roles & Permissions, and More

Project updates with Slack notifications, overhauled roles and permissions, a public API, and human-readable IDs across the board.

Project Updates

You can now post status updates directly on projects and keep your team in the loop.

  • Project updates — write status updates visible to everyone on the project
  • Slack notifications — updates are automatically posted to connected Slack channels
  • Notification subscriptions — follow projects you care about and get notified of changes

Roles & Permissions

We've overhauled how access control works. The old manager role has been removed and replaced with a clearer set of four predefined roles, each with specific permissions:

  • Owner — full access including role management
  • Admin — full operational access, but cannot manage roles
  • Finance — read access to projects and clients, plus full control over financial data (rates, margins, monthly summaries) — without access to people management
  • User — basic access to view projects, clients, and team info, plus manage their own hours

Only owners can assign or change roles, keeping your access hierarchy secure.

Display IDs

Projects and clients now have human-readable IDs (like PRJ-042 and CLT-015) instead of long UUIDs. These show up everywhere — in URLs, search results, notifications, and emails — making it easier to reference and find things.

API

A public REST API is now available for building integrations with Supervisible.

  • Org-scoped endpoints — access your organization's data programmatically
  • Expand parameter — use ?expand= on any endpoint to include related data in a single request, reducing the number of API calls you need

Time Off

Approved time-off requests are now automatically announced in your designated Slack OOO channel, complete with @mentions so your team knows who's out and when.

  • Slack OOO auto-post — approvals trigger an announcement in your chosen channel
  • @mentions — the person taking time off is mentioned directly in the Slack message

Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Empty states — all views now show helpful guidance when there's no data yet, instead of blank pages
  • Branded 404 page — a polished error page when you land on a page that doesn't exist
  • Capability badges — redesigned with clearer visual hierarchy
  • Cost settings backfill — updating a team member's hourly rate now correctly applies to their existing assignments
  • Margin display — projects without cost data now show a clear "No cost data" label instead of a misleading +100% margin
  • Pinned workload controls — filter and search controls stay fixed while you scroll through the workload table
  • Email unsubscribe — marketing emails now include a one-click unsubscribe link
  • Reply-to headers — all outgoing emails now include a reply-to address
  • Time-off edit fix — editing a time-off request now correctly updates the existing entry instead of creating a duplicate
